it's now this~
my homemade hanging basket is still up and hanging (actually the first plant was crushed because the bucket wasn't secured properly and it ended up falling to the ground, so this is tomato plant #2, secured with lots of twine). So far it has 3 green tomatoes on it. I'm not so sure about this hanging tomato thing, but it has been interesting to observe.

I have never tried this, a local farm near us has an area with a bunch of these set up. Is it to save on space and tying up the vines I assume?
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to try this but I didn't have anything to suspend the container from. I kept watching those commercials and finally saw those hanging things at Walmart, but I didn't purchase them. I would like to try them with herbs and tomatoes.
